Wynwood is on the list of places we work. Lofts and warehouse-style rentals look like they have floor. They also have neighbors, a landlord, and a “no events” line that was written for art openings and bachelor parties alike.
This is not a bar-crawl guide. The empty neighborhoods post is a different article. This is whether that loft can hold a private show.
Read the rules before you fall for the photos
Guest cap. Quiet hours. Freight elevator that shuts off. Street parking that disappears after 8. Same checklist as any rental. If the host says no parties, believe them.
Open floor is useful. Concrete and a mezzanine are not automatically a stage. We still need to know headcount and whether anyone lives next door. Tell us it is a loft. That changes how we walk in more than the neighborhood name.
Getting upstairs
Codes, roll-up doors, a lobby that is really a gallery. One person on your side has to get us from the sidewalk to the room. 30-minute window. Do not make the surprise wait on a keypad that died.
Looks: indoor knock bits fit a loft at night. A shared rooftop pool in Wynwood is still a public pool. Keep the show inside if other tenants can walk through.
